Typically most electrical jobs will be priced uniquely. As you can appreciate almost ever electrical job will be different in the materials used and the labour time required. Even the same type of job eg. installing a new USB socket – will be dependant on the length of cable required, where the existing socket circuit runs, the make of socket used, whether it is to be surface mounted or chased in? Therefore a site survey is usually required at your home/property where the work is to be carried out. Book your quote visit now.
Following the visit we will put together a quote detailing the overall cost of the works, with no hidden extras. This will be emailed to you within a day or two after the visit. Following your acceptance of the quote and our Consumer Terms & Conditions we’ll arrange a mutually convenient date/time to carry out the work.
Some straightforward jobs can be quoted directly without the need for a site visit. These include:
- Replacing an existing light fitting with a new one (a description of the new fitting would be required to gauge how long the installation will take)
- Replacing like-for-like light switches, sockets etc
- Electrical test and inspections in residential properties (the type of test (full electrical installation condition report or visual electrical inspection), the size of the property (number of bedrooms and out buildings). Typically commercial and industrial buildings would need a quote visit.
- Fault finding (would attract our minimum charge for up to the first hour of investigative work. Should further work be required following the investigation this would be quoted for following this visit).
No charge is made for a quote visit and for providing the quote. However, any work carried out, will attract a minimum charge of £75+vat. If you need us to come out to you on the same day as the enquiry then the minimum charge si £90+vat.
If you are curious as to know why this is, we hope the following ‘MIN CHARGE’ acronym will explain the value you will gain by having us carry out your electrical work.
